William K. Bischoff - Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Bischoff has over 25 years of experience in financial services having joined First Tennessee (First Horizon) in 2000 to help the firm enter the institutional equities business. Prior to joining FTN Equity Capital Markets, Mr. Bischoff was with ABN AMRO where he was Senior Managing Director and Head of Institutional Equity Sales and Co-Chair of the firm’s Research Investment Policy Committee. Prior to joining ABN AMRO, Mr. Bischoff was a Partner/Senior Managing Director and Head of Institutional Equity Sales and Co-Chair of the firm’s Research Investment Policy Committee at The Chicago Corporation, which was acquired by ABN AMRO. At FTN Equity Capital, he is responsible for overseeing all of the firm’s businesses including institutional sales and trading, equity research, asset management, and investment banking. He was instrumental in making the acquisition of Cleveland-based Midwest Research in 2001, which served as the firm’s foundation to build an institutional equity platform. The firm has grown significantly during his tenure and is consistently ranked as one of the best research boutiques on Wall Street. Mr. Bischoff graduated from Fairleigh Dickenson University with a B.S. in Finance and Economics and continued at FDU with graduate studies. He holds his Series 7, 8, 9/10, 24, 63 and 65 security registrations. 

 
Sal Raffa, CPA - Executive Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Raffa joined FTN Equity Capital Markets from Ernst & Young, LLP where he was a senior manager in their financial services industry group. He specialized in business advisory services for registered broker-dealers, national banks, insurance companies, venture capital funds and money managers. Mr. Raffa was a strategic manager and advisor to senior management on a variety of issues ranging from capital management, to SEC items, to risk assessment and acquisition strategies. He provided in-depth knowledge and understanding of investment securities both on-balance sheet and derivative products along with consulting on various types of hedging strategies. In addition, he assisted in managing the entire financial services industry group including new product development, strategic planning, allocating resources, personnel evaluations, marketing and forecast and budgeting. Mr. Raffa graduated from the University of Akron with a B.S. in Accounting and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts.

Eric Choi - Senior Managing Director and Co-Director of Equity Trading

Mr. Choi has over 14 years experience in the Institutional Equity business. Prior to joining FTN Equity Capital Markets, Mr. Choi was Head of Sales and Trading at McDonald Investments in Los Angeles. During his tenure, Mr Choi aided a 900% revenue growth.  Mr. Choi graduated with an MBA from UCLA and an BSFS in International Finance from Georgetown.

Mark Zengo - Senior Managing Director and Co-Director of Equity Trading

Mr. Zengo has over 20 years experience in the Institutional Equity business in both Domestic and International securities.  Prior to joining FTN Equity Capital Markets, Mr. Zengo was a Managing Director at ABN AMRO in New York trading financial and media stocks. Mr. Zengo was also the Head of Domestic Equity Trading at Bankers Trust Securities - New York and Head of ADR Trading in London for Natwest Securities. Mr. Zengo graduated from Bates College with a B.A. in Economics.
